This sterling silver and turquoise naja was made by well-known Diné silversmith Chimney Butte, of Albuquerque, who grew up in Arizona surrounded by pottery and jewelry making. He sold jewelry on the Santa Fe Plaza for many years before launching his jewelry making studio. Back carries the hallmark of Butte, as well as a STERLING stamp.
