🍁This sterling silver and turquoise ring was made by well-known Diné silversmith Chimney Butte, of Albuquerque, who grew up in Arizona surrounded by pottery and jewelry making. He sold jewelry on the Santa Fe Plaza for many years before launching his jewelry making studio. The turquoise stone in this ring is very unusual, with golden brown matrix that presents along a diagonal, the blue of the stone seeming like a ribbon or gash. The stone also has a lovely feel, almost like a worry stone. And that scalloped frame is a traditional style, making this big ring feel even bigger. Back carries the hallmark of Butte, as well as a STERLING stamp.
